# MOMENT OF TRUTH FOR THE QUEEN OF TARTS

Posted on January 24, 2025 20 Comments

Speculation is rife that Lynda Tabuya is to be expelled from the People's Alliance and will lose her seat in parliament when the party's disciplinary committee reports today to the party leadership, including Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, on its deliberations over her infamous nude video. The former Minister for Women, Children and Social … [Read more...] about # MOMENT OF TRUTH FOR THE QUEEN OF TARTS

# GUESS WHO’S BACK RUNNING THE ODPP? THE “CROONING STALLION” HIMSELF

Posted on January 23, 2025 34 Comments

Back in June, three Supreme Court judges ruled that John Rabuku was ineligible to be acting DPP because he had been found guilty of professional misconduct and Rabuku was forced to relinquish the position. But seven months on, he is back running the ODPP in defiance of the Supreme Court while the substantive DPP, Christopher Pryde, is absent … [Read more...] about # GUESS WHO’S BACK RUNNING THE ODPP? # THE MANGY OLD OWL AND THE SIMPERING PUSSYCAT (UPDATED FRI AM)

Posted on January 22, 2025 30 Comments

For everything that is wrong with Fiji, try wresting yourself away from reality from a moment to join the fantasy world of Sitiveni Rabuka and Vijay Narayan. The so-called "Straight Talk" program consists of a limp-wristed interviewer holding his subject "accountable" with such probing questions as "what are your thoughts on that?" And then the … [Read more...] about # THE MANGY OLD OWL AND THE SIMPERING PUSSYCAT (UPDATED FRI AM)

A statement by the President of the Fiji Law Society, Wylie Clarke, calling for the removal/stepping aside of Janet Mason - the Counsel Assisting the Commission of Inquiry into the "rotten" circumstances of the appointment of Barbara Malimali as FICAC Commissioner - has raised a number of questions about Wylie Clarke's motives. # EXPOSED. THE COALITION TRIES TO SHUT DOWN THE MALIMALI COMMISSION OF INQUIRY

Posted on January 21, 2025 49 Comments

The attempts to remove the Fiji-born New Zealand lawyer, Janet Mason, as Counsel Assisting the Commission of Inquiry into the "rotten" circumstances surrounding the appointment of Barbara Malimali as FICAC Commissioner masks a much bigger story. That the government is trying to shut down the inquiry by Justice David Ashton-Lewis altogether. … [Read more...] about # EXPOSED. THE COALITION TRIES TO SHUT DOWN THE MALIMALI COMMISSION OF INQUIRY

# A DISGRACEFUL ATTEMPT TO HOODWINK THE FIJIAN PEOPLE

Posted on January 20, 2025 49 Comments

What game is the Chief Justice, Salesi Temo, playing? He writes to the DPP, Christopher Pryde, giving him 14 days to respond to a request from the Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva, to suspend Pryde for misbehaviour. Under the constitution, that would, or at least should, result in the setting up of a judicial tribunal to hear the recycled allegations of … [Read more...] about # A DISGRACEFUL ATTEMPT TO HOODWINK THE FIJIAN PEOPLE

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
