In a stunning last-minute development, the rogue Chief Justice, Salesi Temo, has given the DPP, Christopher Pryde, 14 days to give cause as to why he should not be suspended for a second time for misbehaviour on a complaint from Nancy Tikoisuva, the Acting DPP who is leading a mutiny in the ODPP and has also referred her reinstated boss to … [Read more...] about # DPP CANCELS RETURN TO FIJI AFTER THE CHIEF JUSTICE AGAIN THREATENS SUSPENSION FOR MISBEHAVIOUR

Hands up those of you who've enjoyed the brief respite from having the Queen of Tarts, Lynda Tabuya, in your face on a daily basis, and especially her "bush" and butt. Ever since the People's Alliance began its disciplinary hearing into whether the ex-minister for bonking and weed should be expelled from the party, Tabuya has gone … [Read more...] about # LOOK WHO’LL BE BACK IN THE SPOTLIGHT NEXT WEEK

The Attorney General, Graham Leung, has ended his glaring silence on the reinstatement of Christopher Pryde as DPP to say that Pryde has been exonerated by the Tribunal that investigated allegations of misbehaviour against him and that his detractors in the ODPP must accept the fact that he is returning to Gunu House on Monday. # WHO’D HAVE THUNK…

Posted on January 16, 2025 11 Comments

...that little old me would still be worthy of being attacked by the Office of the Director of Prosecutions when I am a grumpy septuagenarian with a modest little unpaid sidekick as a commentator on events in my country of birth. Mind you, they did get my surname wrong. -------------- ------------- No matter. My new-found notoriety … [Read more...] about # WHO’D HAVE THUNK…

Wylie Clarke - the President of the Fiji Law Society representing the nation's lawyers in private practice - has strongly criticised the Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva, and her Deputy, John Rabuku, over their conduct in referring the substantive DPP, Christopher Pryde, to FICAC with unproven allegations after he was exonerated by a judicial Tribunal … [Read more...] about # THE FIJI LAW SOCIETY CUTS NANCY AND THE “CROONING STALLION” LOOSE

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
