Posted on October 26, 2025 20 Comments

There are currents swirling within the Rabuka government that are starting to spill over even into the supine mainstream media as those around the Prime Minister begin to acknowledge that he is losing his grip. Take the following article, for instance - Sitiveni Rabuka's former communications handmaiden turned Fiji Times journalist, Cheerieann … [Read more...] about # A PRIME MINISTER FROZEN WITH INERTIA WHEN HE MUST ACT DECISIVELY TO SAVE HIMSELF

Manoa Kamikamica's co-accused in the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry - his lawyer, Wylie Clarke - has put on a brave face at Kamikamica's first court appearance to obtain bail as he awaits trial on the charge against him of perjury and giving false evidence to the Inquiry. But as we explained in our earlier article today, these two have no … [Read more...] about # RARELY IN THE HISTORY OF POLITICS HAS ANYONE HAD LESS REASON TO BE SMILING

# WYLIE CLARKE AND RICHARD NAIDU’S DESPERATE THROW OF THE DICE (AMENDED)

Why was Biman Prasad's lawyer, Richard Naidu, down at the courts with Manoa Kamikamica's lawyer, Wylie Clarke, for the first mention of the FICAC prosecution of Kamikamica arising out of the Ashton-Lewis Supreme Court Commission of Inquiry into the Malimali Affair? It's a question Grubsheet highlighted yesterday when we canvassed why a posse of … [Read more...] about # WYLIE CLARKE AND RICHARD NAIDU’S DESPERATE THROW OF THE DICE (AMENDED)

# WHY IS ANOTHER POSSE OF LAWYERS TRYING TO DERAIL THE FICAC CASE AGAINST MANOA KAMIKAMICA?

Posted on October 23, 2025 29 Comments

One of the most startling aspects to emerge from the Supreme Court Commission of Inquiry into the Malimali affair is how Wylie Clarke - the President of the Fiji Law Society - summoned a posse of lawyers on September 5 last year and descended on the headquarters of FICAC to free Barbara Malimali from arrest and eject the then acting deputy … [Read more...] about # WHY IS ANOTHER POSSE OF LAWYERS TRYING TO DERAIL THE FICAC CASE AGAINST MANOA KAMIKAMICA?

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
