# WELL HE WOULD, WOULDN’T HE? BIMAN THE BETRAYER HAS MORE TO LOSE FROM THE COI REPORT BEING RELEASED THAN ANYONE ELSE

Posted on May 27, 2025 20 Comments

For the second time in 24 hours, a Coalition government minister who was under FICAC investigation and had that investigation quashed by Barbara Malimali has welcomed the Prime Minister's decision not to publish the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry Report into the "rotten circumstances" of her appointment. First it was Manoa Kamikamica and now … [Read more...] about # WELL HE WOULD, WOULDN’T HE? BIMAN THE BETRAYER HAS MORE TO LOSE FROM THE COI REPORT BEING RELEASED THAN ANYONE ELSE

# OOH- AHH. SAVAGED BY A FIJI FANTASTIC SHEEP NAMED MANOA (UPDATED TUES AM)

Posted on May 26, 2025 25 Comments

Grubsheet's Facebook spies have sent me reaching for the champagne this afternoon to celebrate being mauled by no less than the Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji, Manoa Kamikamica, within hours of me accusing him of being the Number Two Snake in the Coalition government after Sitiveni Rabuka. On the basis of that mauling, I have since revised my … [Read more...] about # OOH- AHH. SAVAGED BY A FIJI FANTASTIC SHEEP NAMED MANOA (UPDATED TUES AM)

# SNAKE NUMBER TWO. MANOA KAMIKAMICA

Posted on May 26, 2025 12 Comments

It is a national tragedy that the person regarded as the putative successor to Sitiveni Rabuka as People's Alliance leader and prime minister, Manoa Kamikamica, appears to be as self-serving as the present incumbent. Beyond his beatific smile, there is nothing sweet about Kamikamica - the meaning of his surname in iTaukei. Indeed he is showing … [Read more...] about # SNAKE NUMBER TWO. MANOA KAMIKAMICA

# SITIVENI RABUKA. TWO FACED, SPINELESS AND CORRUPT (UPDATED SUNDAY AM)

Posted on May 23, 2025 56 Comments

Any Prime Minister who accepts a $150,000 gold Rolex as a gift and refuses to disclose its source is on the prima facie evidence, corrupt. But we now know (or have had it confirmed) that Sitiveni Rabuka is also two-faced, spineless and once again, a genuine threat to democracy in Fiji. Just three weeks separates these headlines - a promise that … [Read more...] about # SITIVENI RABUKA. TWO FACED, SPINELESS AND CORRUPT (UPDATED SUNDAY AM)

# WHETHER IT IS CORRUPTION OR INCOMPETENCE, THE DITHERING OVER THE COI REPORT POINTS TO A GOVERNMENT MIRED IN DYSFUNCTION

Posted on May 22, 2025 20 Comments

It beggars belief that the Attorney General, Graham Leung, is so ignorant of the law that he doesn't understand that he can play no role whatsoever in the government's decision-making on whether to release the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry report into the "rotten circumstances" of the appointment of FICAC Commissioner Barbara Malimali. Why? … [Read more...] about # WHETHER IT IS CORRUPTION OR INCOMPETENCE, THE DITHERING OVER THE COI REPORT POINTS TO A GOVERNMENT MIRED IN DYSFUNCTION

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
