EXPLOSIVE REVELATIONS: Today Grubsheet publishes documentary proof of the illicit sex and drug use by the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Lynda Tabuya, during an official parliamentary visit to Melbourne last August that gives the lie once and for all to her reported denials (see previous story). For the first … [Read more...] about # EXPOSED: THE LIES OF LYNDA TABUYA AND SITIVENI RABUKA

# THE MINISTER FOR BONKING AND WEED’S DESPERATE LIE

Posted on June 13, 2024 5 Comments

The bigger the lie, the more believable was the advice the Nazi propagandist, Joseph Goebbels, gave to Adolf Hitler in World War Two. And someone has evidently been giving the same advice to the Queen of Tarts, Lynda Tabuya, as she fights to salvage her shredded reputation after her "brutal" rogering by her fellow minister, Aseri Radrodro, in Room … [Read more...] about # THE MINISTER FOR BONKING AND WEED’S DESPERATE LIE

RFNS PUAMAU. A METAPHOR FOR THE ENTIRE NATION

Posted on June 12, 2024 50 Comments

It has taken less than a month for the newly-commissioned pride of the Fiji Navy - the patrol boat, RFNS Puamau – to run aground In Lau on effectively its maiden voyage. How the Navy could be so incompetent as to ram a brand new Australian-supplied vessel with state-of-the-art navigation aids onto Fulagi Reef is astonishing. If this is the … [Read more...] about RFNS PUAMAU. A METAPHOR FOR THE ENTIRE NATION

# THE FIJIFIRST SHIP GOES DOWN AND IT’S EVERY MAN (AND ONE WOMAN) FOR THEMSELVES

Posted on June 11, 2024 39 Comments

It beggars belief that the main political bloc in the parliament that fell short by just one vote from forming government on the floor of the House 18 months ago could now be on the verge of extinction. But it now seems almost certain that the once mighty FijiFirst will be deregistered by the Supervisor of Elections on June 28 and effectively cease … [Read more...] about # THE FIJIFIRST SHIP GOES DOWN AND IT’S EVERY MAN (AND ONE WOMAN) FOR THEMSELVES

# OLD PREJUDICES HAUNT THE VOU

Posted on June 9, 2024 31 Comments

The growing chauvinism and cultural arrogance among certain iTaukei has reared its ugly head on social media about a performance at the 13th Pacific Festival of Arts and Culture in Honolulu by the celebrated dance group, Vou. ("new" in iTaukei) Never mind that the third of Fijians who aren't iTaukei don't get a look-in at the Festival - … [Read more...] about # OLD PREJUDICES HAUNT THE VOU

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
