# WHILE SH*T SEEPS INTO THE OPERATING THEATRES OF THE CWM, AN INCONSEQUENTIAL SH*TSTORM ERUPTS AMONG THE GLITTERATI ON FACEBOOK

Posted on November 11, 2025 24 Comments

The disconnect between the lives of ordinary Fijians and some of those who dominate the national debate has never been so stark than in the case of Imrana "Patricia" Jalal - the international lawyer who picks up a multi six figure US dollar salary working for the Asian Development Bank in Manila while many of those she used to represent as a … [Read more...] about # WHILE SH*T SEEPS INTO THE OPERATING THEATRES OF THE CWM, AN INCONSEQUENTIAL SH*TSTORM ERUPTS AMONG THE GLITTERATI ON FACEBOOK

# CWM. A METAPHOR FOR AN ENTIRE NATION THAT HAS GONE TO SH*T

Posted on November 10, 2025 18 Comments

So sewage - raw excrement - has leaked into the operating theatres of the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva and patients there have died, according to a truly shocking report in the Fiji Sun. Grubsheet can scarcely believe that the place where I was born and later got my teeth straightened (sort of ) by a kindly British orthodontist in Viti … [Read more...] about # CWM. # COMMONMAN’S TRAIN OF THOUGHT ON A VISIT TO AUSTRALIA

Posted on November 9, 2025 23 Comments

GD writes: After his three part series on identity and belonging in Fiji, CommonMan turns more whimsical this week as he reflects on a recent visit to Australia and his enjoyment of traveling by train. Australian railways are a far cry from the sugar trains that used to pass by CommonMan's village in Nadroga. Not only are they fast and … [Read more...] about # COMMONMAN’S TRAIN OF THOUGHT ON A VISIT TO AUSTRALIA

# THE FINAL STRAW. LYNDA TABUYA HAS FINANCIALLY EXPLOITED THE HOSPITALITY OF ORDINARY FIJIANS AND MUST GO

Posted on November 8, 2025 25 Comments

Everything that is wrong with the Coalition government - its amorality, greed and disregard for proper conduct and the feelings of the Fijian people - are encapsulated in the admission by Lynda Tabuya that she claimed taxpayer's money as per diems or daily living allowances for her recent visit to South Australia and was then able to pocket that … [Read more...] about # THE FINAL STRAW. # THE QUEEN OF TARTS WITH THE CHEATING HEART. DOUBLE DIPPING AS WELL AS SKINNY DIPPING? (UPDATED)

Posted on November 7, 2025 28 Comments

Lynda Tabuya's file at FICAC for allegedly under-reporting her income to the Elections Office was closed by her friend Barbara Malimali in highly questionable circumstances that are still resonating many months later. Yet not only has FICAC reportedly re-opened its investigation, the corruption watchdog is also destined to be slavering all over … [Read more...] about # THE QUEEN OF TARTS WITH THE CHEATING HEART. # IS HE EVEN GOING TO MAKE IT TO THE NEXT ELECTION, LET ALONE LEAD THE NATION FOR ANOTHER TERM? (UPDATED WEDNESDAY PM)

Posted on November 5, 2025 49 Comments

The Prime Minister is suddenly looking a shadow of his former self and the antithesis of a virile, commanding national leader. And in response to a reader request for my favourite photo of the Pedophile President on his parambulations around Europe and the Gulf, here he is - stick in hand like his protégé, the Prime Minister - unable to cobo to … [Read more...] about # IS HE EVEN GOING TO MAKE IT TO THE NEXT ELECTION, LET ALONE LEAD THE NATION FOR ANOTHER TERM? About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
